Volunteers: An Experience to Remember

We pride ourselves on maintaining year-round tournament conditions here at Sentosa Golf Club.  This requires a consistent effort from every member of our staff to keep a positive attitude in this fast paced environment.  During the Barclays Singapore Open, tournament conditioning is at a yearly high, and it is truly incredible to witness the excitement and attention to detail that builds during the tournament.

Volunteers are crucial to the success of the Barclays Singapore Open and we would like to thank all of you that have volunteered with our Agronomy team in the past.  We hope you gained valuable insights into tournament golf course preparation.

For those of you that have never volunteered for the Barclays Singapore Open, it’s truly an experience to remember.  Additionally, this year we are providing seminars on Tuesday and Wednesday of tournament week.  Tuesday’s seminar is on the Benefits of Social Media and will be conducted by Sam Bauer, Extension Turfgrass Professor at the University of Minnesota.  Sam was responsible for the TPC Sawgrass Agronomy Departments social media during the 2012 PLAYERS Championship.  Wednesday’s seminar is on Golf Course Sustainability, provided by Atlas Turf.

To sign up for the seminars and volunteer for the Barclays Singapore Open, download and fill in the form below.  Completed forms can be emailed to: adeline_yan@sentosa.com.sg or andy_johnston@sentosa.com.sg  We look forward to seeing you in November!
